EASTERN EUROPEAN DAY AT BROOKLYN CYCLONES JUNE 9th 2024

On June 9, 2024, the Brooklyn Cyclones, Single-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will host their highly anticipated Eastern European Day Celebration. 

As part of the celebration, 

The Brooklyn Cyclones will wear specially designed uniforms by young Ukrainian artists. The artwork features the national bird of Ukraine, the white stork, symbolizing unity, family, peace.  This initiative pays tribute to the Eastern European heritage of Brooklyn, highlights the talent and creativity of young artists in the local community

The Eastern European Day Celebration will coincide with the Cyclones’ 2 PM game against the Aberdeen Iron Birds at the iconic Maimonides Park located on Coney Island. Festivities will commence before the game and continue throughout the event, promising an exciting day for fans of all ages:

• Baseball Clinic before the game
• Children dance performance
• Musical performances by Eastern European artists including Merited Artists of Ukraine
• Pierogy eating contest
• Simultaneous chess game
• Ukrainian Food by NYC’s Institution Veselka
• Street Fair like experience with vendors representing Artistry and Culture
• Surprise Guest Appearance
• Ukrainian Art Exhibition
• The first 500 kids will be treated with the free ice cream
• The first 500 adults to be treated with a give-away.
